::So let me tell you why Hertz car rental can get stuffed. Last December I rented a car out of Mexico City airport with Hertz. While driving through Mexico City I got broadsided by another driver (not my fault). I returned the damaged car to Hertz but being sneaky bastards they didn't close out my rental car contract when I returned the car and charged me 100% for the damage to the car, even though I had purchased rental insurance when I rented the car. I didn't find out about the extra charge until I returned from my vacation. I contacted Hertz requesting documentation of the damages, including a repair invoice and a breakdown of any personal liability. Two months later they send me photos of a cracked hub cap and credit card receipts and a rental contract belonging to another customer. They informed me that this is adequate documentation and there's nothing more that they can do. So, I suggest to you that you may want to avoid renting with Hertz in any country. I've had to deal with accident reports with other rental car companies in the past and its never been such a hideous experience as with what I had to deal with here. This rental car agency will rip you off, especially if you're a gringo tourist. You've been warned.
